Admissions FAQ
Common questions about enrollment, visas, fees, and examinations.
- Is there a fixed semester start date?
- No. California Century University uses self-paced enrollment. You may apply and begin eligible coursework after acceptance without waiting for a term.
- Do international students need an I-20 visa?
- No. Programs are 100% online with no campus residency. We do not issue I-20 forms for distance enrollment.
- What is the registration fee?
- A $50 USD non-refundable registration fee is due when you apply. This is separate from monthly tuition plans.
- Are examinations timed or closed-book?
- Mid-term and final examinations are open-book and not timed unless otherwise stated for proctored final attestation. Best score of two attempts applies.
- What essay score is required to pass?
- Each unit essay must score 80% or higher on the AI-assisted rubric before mid-term access unlocks (after Units 1 and 2).
- Is financial aid (Title IV) available?
- California Century University does not participate in federal Title IV financial aid. Interest-free monthly payment plans are published on the Tuition page.
- Can I enroll in a single course?
- Yes. Select single course enrollment on the Apply form and choose from published catalog courses.
